What makes the gospel the gospel?
Eph 1:16-17
I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,
Dear CBC Family,
Last night I attended the youth group. The topic of discussion was “the gospel”. I was greatly encouraged by the way the truth was presented as well as the discussions afterwards. I realized that we never outgrow our need to be reminded of the great truths of the gospel.
To that end, we will be starting Paul’s defense of the truth of justification by faith from Galatians. I pray you will begin to see the difference between Paul’s gospel and that of many today. The differences are not subtle but massive with eternal consequences. Come and let us reason together.
I’ll give a quick update on Erica who had her first round of the new chemo on Wednesday. She is resting and so far, no pancreatitis or other serious complications. The new regimen is fairly intense so prayers are always needed and appreciated. Cancer is a terrible disease.
Blessings to all who love the Lord Jesus,
Pastor Scott
