This is The Way
Acts 19:9 ESV "But when some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking evil of the Way before the congregation, he withdrew from them and took the disciples with him"
Dear CBC Family,
The last Revelation class audio and homework will be going out this weekend. We took a week off before sending the summer’s reading assignment to give everyone a break. Remember, the homework which comes to you will be what you need to read through before we begin our class after Labor Day. It will be a lot, but there is plenty of time to get it done.
That said, this weekend we will continue our study in how the “Spirit-filled” life is lived. Paul will focus this section on how we are to bear with the weak, which will ultimately cause us to find our joy. One thing we need to learn about finding our “happiness” is that if we seek it for ourselves, it will always elude us. We will not be happy if we are not at the same time holy. Instead, we should spend our efforts in seeking to know, and do, the will of God, leaving to Christ the matter of how happy He desires us to be. Yes, He wants us to be holy and joyful in Him but those things together also make, for the mature saint, a life of contentment and happiness.
I am always amazed at how God’s ways are not only contrary to our ways, but how His ways alone produce what we are really looking for. I called the message “This Is the Way.” For you Star Wars fans it is not a message about the Mandalorian.50 20 20 20 20 Recent
