Revelation
Dear CBC Family,
Please read this email carefully as it contains a lot of information.
We began our Bible memorization this week. Our verse is Philippians 3:7-8 "But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ." Here is the link for all the verses going forward.
The Revelation class starts tomorrow at 6:45 PM sharp. As this is not a “service” the front doors will be closed once the class begins to keep the building secure. We will end promptly at 8:00 no matter where we are in the study. If you are coming, please bring a pen, paper to write on and a Bible, as you will need them all. Tomorrow we will be referencing about 50 verses. I have a handout for you for the class and another that gives the reading assignment for you to finish before next Thursday.
This Saturday is the annual business meeting. We will vote on the new budget and have a BRIEF update on a few church matters. The goal is be in and out in under an hour.
The weekend sermon is back into Romans 13 as we explore how “Love fulfills the Law.” A fascinating study about how divine love accomplishes all that God requires. I pray you will be blessed.
That’s about it for now as I am working really hard on the material for the class. May the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all!
Blessings,
Pastor Scott
