An Invitation from the Pastor
Dear CBC Family,
Today is Good Friday and yet with all the things of life that press so hard on each of us we often find ourselves letting our mind drift from what is most important. It is to that end which I am writing to you.
God dispenses grace primarily in His church. As we gather together to worship and pray, He meets us here and through the sacraments and His word we are strengthened and filled with hope.
At 5:30 today we will spend an hour remembering the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on our behalf. Let us not forsake our gathering on this most important day. Can we not “watch and pray with Him for an hour.” This is not meant to make anyone feel guilty it is meant to invite you the spring of the water of life to refresh your soul.
Remember there in no Saturday service tomorrow night but only one service on Sunday morning at 10. The message the Lord put on my heart is not a usual resurrection message at all. It is called “Why am I here” from the book of Isaiah. Many people who name the name of Christ seem to have all the right information but are lacking something that makes that information work. What is that? Join us and bring a friend and come and see God’s answer to why knowledge about Him is not what eternal life is all about. Knowing Him is an experience! Faith comes by hearing the word but knowing comes by seeing Him in experience. An Easter message that will change your life.
To Him alone be all glory, honor and praise.
