Merry Christmas

Isaiah 9:6 "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Dear CBC Family,

One of my favorite quotes about Christmas is by G.K. Chesterton. He said “Christmas is built upon a beautiful and intentional paradox; that the birth of the homeless should be celebrated in every home.” In all the hustle and bustle of this wonderous season may we never forget the reason for Christmas; the giving of Heaven’s Champion to Earth’s defeated.

Remember that we will only have a Christmas Eve service this week (No service on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day). The gathering is at 5:00 PM and will run about an hour start to finish.  This will be a tremendous opportunity to expose your family and friends, who currently are outside of Jesus Christ, to the gospel of grace. Please prayerfully consider who the Lord would have you bring.

If you want any giving to be credited to 2022 then you must give it in person by the end of the Christmas Eve service or give online by Tuesday December 27th. Any gifts received after these two dates will be credited to 2023.

I am grateful to be a part of such a fantastic church that loves the Lord and His Word. May this Christmas fill you with wonder and joy for unto you is given a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Blessings,

Pastor Scott
