The Duty of Delight
Dear CBC Family,
This weekend please join us as we look at a very important topic about “desires”. Every human being wants to “belong” and “fit in”. This desire isn’t sinful in and of itself. It is God given to be fulfilled in a vibrant relationship with Him. When that isn’t taking place then human flesh twists that desire into something sinful. This desire left unchecked can fuel pride, arrogance, bitterness, depression and anger. How does one correct this situation? Join as we discuss from the book of Galatians; “The Duty of Delight.” You will not want to miss this weekend.
With Easter coming up please remember that we will have a Good Friday hour-long service for communion and prayer at 5:30 PM, no Saturday evening service that week, and a joyful celebration of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday at 10:00 AM. Bring a friend who does not yet have a relationship with Christ and pray for them like their eternity hangs on it (because it does).
Erica is having major surgery next Thursday morning at 10:00 AM. Please join us in prayer for a good outcome. I will send out an update that evening after all is settled. I am grateful for the prayers.
May the Lord bless and keep you all as we navigate these unusual days.
