How?
Dear CBC Family,
I had my annual poking by the neurologist today. The test is quite unpleasant but after 8 of them I am getting accustomed to the pain of having it done. It is quite amazing the amount of information that one needle inserted into a muscle can pick up. It is able to quickly diagnose how the muscle responds to the minor trauma and how the fibers fire when voluntarily contracted. It can distinguish between normal muscle activity and injury to either the muscle or the nerve and whether the nerve has become detached, or reattached, to a muscle. It is quite fascinating actually. It reminds me of Ps 139:14 “We are fearfully and wonderfully made.”
This weekend we are back in Romans 10 with a great study from verses 14-15 which I simply called “How”. This text focuses on the appropriate response to all that Paul has taught up to this point. He has just told us some amazing “For” statements: “It is just as the Scripture says: “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and gives richly to all who call on Him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” He then gets into the application of what knowing these “for” statements will bring out. It is nothing less than the conversion of the world!
I pray that you will join us as we learn right from the Holy Spirit what our role as Ambassador and Scribe looks like in practice. This is on the job training 101.
Blessings to you all,
Pastor Scott
