20 (Now concerning the things which I write to you, indeed, before God, I do not lie.)

Galatians 2:1a (NKJV)

1 Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem ...

5 Visits

•             There was the visit after his conversion (Acts 9)

•             There was the famine visit (Acts 11:27-30)

•             There was the Jerusalem Council visit of (Acts 15)

•             There was the visit

at the end of the 2nd Missionary Journey

•             Finally, the Caesarean imprisonment.

Matthew 9:9-10 (NKJV)

9 As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, "Follow Me." So he arose and followed Him. 10 Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples.

Galatians 2:1b (NKJV)

1 ... with Barnabas, and also took Titus with me.

Acts 9:26-28 (NKJV)

26 And when Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple. 27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. And he declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. 28 So he was with them at Jerusalem, coming in and going out.

Acts 11:22-24 (NKJV)

22 Then news of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch. 23 When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord. 24 For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord.

Acts 11:25-26 (NKJV)

25 Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus           to seek Saul. 26 And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

Barnabas told Paul:

"Go do your thing in Antioch."

Galatians 2:2 (NKJV)

2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated to them that gospel which  I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to those who were of reputation, lest by any means I might run, or had run, in vain.

Deuteronomy 7:6-8 (NLT)

6 For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure. 7 "The Lord did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! 8 Rather, it was simply that the Lord loves you, and he was keeping the oath he had sworn to your ancestors. That is why the Lord rescued you with such a strong hand from your slavery and from the oppressive hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.

Galatians 2:3 (NKJV)

3 Yet not even Titus who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.

Acts 15:24-29 (NKJV)

24 Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law"-to whom we gave no such commandment- 25 it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 15:24-29 (NKJV)

27 We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who will also report the same things by word of mouth. 28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: 29 that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.

Galatians 2:4-5 (NKJV)

4 And this occurred because of false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage), 5 to whom we did not yield submission even for an hour, that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

1 Corinthians 6:12 (NKJV)

12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

Galatians 2:6 (NKJV)

6 But from those who seemed to be something-whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows personal favoritism to no man-for those who seemed to be something added nothing to me.

Galatians 2:2,6 (NIV)

2 But I did this privately to those who seemed to be leaders, for fear that I was running or had run my race in vain.

6 As for those who seemed to be important - whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance-those men added nothing to my message.

Galatians 2:2,6,9 (NIV)

2 But I did this privately to those who seemed to be leaders, for fear that I was running or had run my race in vain.

6 As for those who seemed to be important - whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance-those men added nothing to my message.

9 James, Peter and John, those reputed to be pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship

Galatians 2:7-8 (NKJV); Ephesians 3:6 (NIV)

7 But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter 8 (for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles),

6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 2:9 (NKJV)

9 and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

Galatians 2:10 (NKJV)

10 They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.

1 Peter 1:13 (NKJV)

13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

John 17:20-21 (NKJV)

20 "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

Luke 22:19-20 (NKJV)

Blank

2 Peter 2:1 (NKJV)

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.
