1. When a person does battle with God, God always wins.
2. When God transforms a life, there is always a testimony.
3. When you give your testimony—don’t preach, talk.
4. Don’t generalize—specify.  “I came to know God” don’t cut it.  Paul gives specifics.
5. Don’t be mystical or talk in code—use real language.
6. Don’t defend, just declare (verse  20).
7. Be brief as Paul covers 14 years in 12.
8. Follow Paul’s logical procession:  before Jesus, conversion to Jesus and after Jesus.
9. Glorify God.

Summary of Galatians 1:11-24

11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1:11-12 (NKJV)

13 For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it. 14 And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

Galatians 1:13-14 (NKJV)

27 “You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’  28 But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your hand—even your stronger hand—causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

Matthew 5:27-30 (NLT)

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me, …

Galatians 1:15-16a (NKJV)

4 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying:
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:4-5 (NKJV)

16 … that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, 17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.

Galatians 1:16b-17 (NKJV)

18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and remained with him fifteen days. 19But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. 20 (Now concerning the things which I write to you, indeed, before God, I do not lie.)

Galatians 1:18-20 (NKJV)

21 Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22 And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea which were in Christ. 23 But they were hearing only, “He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.”

Galatians 1:21-23 (NKJV)

24 And they glorified God in me.

Galatians 1:24 (NKJV)
